Ansiedad - Anxiety

Dolores de cabeza, mareos, palpitaciones, tensión muscular, dificultad para dormir, etc.

Headaches, dizziness, pounding heart, muscle tightness, difficulty sleeping, etc.  

Insensibilidad psicológica - Psychological numbing

La promesa inconsciente de no volver a sufrir un dolor tan intenso puede dificultar la capacidad de establecer una relación emocional íntima.

The unconscious vow to never let anything hurt this badly again, can hamper the ability to enter fully into an emotionally intimate relationship. 

Depresión - Depression

Estado de ánimo triste, episodios de llanto repentino e incontrolable, deterioro de la autoestima, trastornos del sueño y del apetito, disminución de la motivación, pérdida de las fuentes habituales de placer, pensamientos suicidas.

Sad mood, episodes of sudden and uncontrollable crying, deterioration of self-concept, sleep and appetite disturbances, reduced motivation, loss of normal sources of pleasure, thoughts of suicide. 

Revivir eventos relacionados con el aborto. Pensamientos persistentes y/o flashbacks. Recuerdos o pesadillas con temática de bebés perdidos o desmembrados.

Re-experiencing events related to the abortion Persistent thoughts and/or flashbacks. Memories or nightmares involving themes of lost or dismembered babies. 

Preocupación por volver a quedar embarazada Representa la esperanza inconsciente de que un nuevo embarazo reemplace al bebé abortado.

Preoccupation with becoming pregnant again Representing an unconscious hope that a new pregnancy will replace the baby that was aborted. 

Ansiedad por la fertilidad y la maternidad Estar convencida de que Dios la castigará impidiéndole tener futuros embarazos.

Anxiety over fertility and childbearing issues Being convinced that God will punish her by withholding future pregnancies. 

Interrupción o alteración del vínculo con los hijos presentes y/o futuros. Vínculo insuficiente o excesivo con otros hijos, nacidos antes o después del aborto.

Interruption or disruption of the bonding with present and/or future children. Under-bonding or over-bonding with other children, whether born before or after she had her abortion 

Autolesiones/Comportamientos autodestructivos. Trastornos alimentarios, abuso de alcohol y/o sustancias, tabaquismo, relaciones abusivas (físicas o emocionales), promiscuidad, descuido de la salud.

Self-abuse / Self-destructive behaviors Eating disorders, alcohol and/or substance abuse, cigarette smoking, abusive relationships either physically or emotionally, promiscuity, failure to take care of one's self medically. 

Reacciones de aniversario. Aumento de los síntomas en torno al aniversario del aborto, la fecha prevista de parto o ambas.

Anniversary reactions An increase in symptoms around the time of the anniversary of the abortion, or the due date of the aborted child, or both. 

Trastorno psicótico breve - Brief psychotic disorder 

Un episodio psicótico breve, desconectado de la realidad, que dura poco tiempo durante las dos semanas posteriores al aborto. Nota: Esto también puede ocurrir durante la terapia postaborto.

A psychotic break with reality lasting for a short period of time within two weeks of the abortion. Note: This may also happen during the process of post-abortive therapy.
